PARKWAY SAIL

On Friday, I was invited to the Parkway SAIL which is a place where Seniors can go and do all types of activities. It felt good spending time with the seniors and talking to them. Seniors have a wealth of knowledge and can strike up a conversation about almost any topic. There was a guest speaker there as well Ms. Jean Ingram. Ms. Ingram is the Silver-Haired Legislature Representative of District 97. Ms. Ingram talked about a possible bill being introduced that would reduce the amount of social security of the seniors receive if they got food stamps. I think this is wrong because some seniors are on a fixed income and that is all they have left to pay bills and ect. I will help fight against any bill that proposes such an idea.
